These past 6 weeks have been a roller coaster for me both physically and mentally .
Thankfully , when I recovered from Covid the first time round, I didn’t stop doing all of the things I had learned during my first 18 months of illness. I have built a solid foundation of well being and for this I am truly grateful.
Initially I thought that it wouldn’t last long at all . No way was I going to let that happen again .
When the physical pain and fatigue persisted, it felt all too familiar. I must admit I have had moments of self despair.
Slowly, I have come to realize that the key is not to get caught up in my thoughts about how long will it last this time and will I ever experience the bliss I felt for four months this past winter. When I find myself thinking about the past and future, I press pause and bring my focus to the present moment, reminding myself of what I can do instead of what I can’t do.
Learning to embrace uncertainty is challenging but I think I’m getting the hang of it !
Restoration and recovery is a process . I’ve done it once and I’ll do it again, in due time .
Over the next 21 days, I have decided to challenge myself and will share ingredients that I have discovered and have found helpful in my wellness journey. Apparently true bloggers are supposed to post something every day …..who knew ?
For most of us, life is a balancing act. Adopting rituals, incorporating nourishing food into our diet and mindful awareness allows us to hold it together, even during the most challenging times. I hope these ingredients will support you in building a foundation for health and wellness, simply and effortlessly .
Enjoy !

PS There are presently hundreds of thousands of people suffering from Covid symptoms . If you know any long haulers , please share. I’ve recovered once and I’m in the process of recovering a second time . If I can make a difference for even one person, caught in the grip of this nasty virus ….mission accomplished!
Bravo Karen. You have learned so much during these long months and I am very happy that your words and wisdom will be shared with other long haulers. I am learning myself from your blog and even take notes 😉
