
In preparation for your 3 day detox cleanse, here are some suggestions.
I like to start my day off with a coffee or a matcha latte but during a cleanse, no caffeine allowed.
In fact there are quite a few things that you will need to avoid.
- no alcohol
- no caffeine
- no dairy
- no eggs
- no meat, beef , pork, shellfish or raw fish
- no gluten
- no soy
- no potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers
- no strawberries, oranges,grapefruits, grapes, bananas
- no corn
- no white rice
- no added sugar
- no peanuts, though other nuts are fine !
Here is a great alternative you may enjoy first thing in the morning- golden-milk

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups almond milk
- 4 cardamom pods, cracked or 1 tsp ground
- 1 TBSP ground turmeric
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-2 inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 black pepper corns
- 2 TBSP raw honey
METHOD
- Place all ingredients in a small pot. Bring to a low boil and then gently simmer for 10 minutes.
- Using a sieve , pour milk into a bowl.
- Serve in a mug and sprinkle with cinnamon.
I absolutely love this beverage. It is full of flavour and warms the soul. I also enjoy a cup before bed. Yum yum yum 🙂
Throughout the day consider sipping on something in addition to water :

Ingredients :
1 TBSP cumin seeds
1 TBSP coriander seeds
1 TBSP fennel seeds
Mix together in a small bowl and store in an airtight container.
Add 1 cup boiling water to 1 TBSP of seed mixture and let sit for at least 5 minutes.

Broth

Sipping on broth between meals can help when you’re feeling hungry and it’s not quite time to eat !
Lots of recipes to choose from but here is the one I recommend.
